Saturday the 25th of November marks the second edition of the TAB Finals Day and will again be hosted by Morphettville with almost $1M on offer for connections.

In partnership with TAB and Racing SA, TAB Finals Day will see nine-race finals made up of heat winners from metro, provincial and country tracks across SA.

Alexander Brothers Racing will represented by TAKE ME NORTH taking his place in the David Peacock Restricted Series Final ( 1800m).

TAKE ME NORTH guaranteed his place in the final by taking out a heat of the series at Morphettville on October 8th.

The lightly raced 6yo gelding then ran in a second heat of the series placing 8th by 4.4L at Murray Bridge.

"TAKE ME NORTH is in great order and it's a nice opportunity to place him for strong money and on such a great days racing for South Australia. He had a bit of longer gap than usual between runs after his win and raced a touch keenly so he should be improved by this." said Dean Alexander

Gary Alexander shared " TAKE ME NORTH will drop 6kgs on his last run and 2kg from his win with an important claim for Alana Livesey. He has a 3.5kg positive swing on the second placed runner on that day BIT OF A REBEL which is favourite for tomorrows event."

"HIs dam was a 6 time winner and performed very well in black type events from 1200m to 2000m whilst his sires progeny ( Needs Further ) enjoy a bit of time. This fellow is just coming on nicely, it's a good challenge for him."

The nine-race finals program will celebrate South Australian Thoroughbred Racing’s Hall of Fame with three races to be named after 2023 Hall of Fame inductees who will also be announced on the day.

“TAB Finals Day is a unique day on the SA racing calendar with impressive prizemoney on offer and to also highlight the contributions of those being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Owners and trainers will be well supported on the day.” shared SAJC CEO Grant Mayer.
