5yo gelding Miklewhite delivered an impressive win at the training partnerships home base Murray Bridge on Wednesday.
The son of Maurice had been racing in good fashion this campaign weighing in on 5 of 7 occasions including two agonising second placings in July by less than a length on both occasions.
Jumping from barrier 13 the gelding settled towards the rear under the guidance of Jason Holder and benefited from a genuine tempo up front. He made a long sustained run to finish over the top of those runners who had enjoyed more economical experience in the event.
On the win Dean Alexander said " I was delighted wth the win for a large group of connections. He has been deserving of a victory this campaign and he was really made to earn this one. That was an impressive effort by horse and rider today"

The stable saddled up 4 runners on the mid week card and ended the day with a very pleasing first, second and third placings with all runners pleasing the training duo and their riders.
Gary Alexander shared "We've worked very hard on balancing our training at the new location and I can feel it all coming together now. The results today have provided great confidence that we are on the right path, these horses really found the line."
"Pretty Reliable settled much better today and she looked the winner only to be nudged our late. That was her second run for the campaign and she looks to have a very nice campaign ahead."
"Dean and I were pleased with all 4 runners today and coupled with the the fact that our younger team are nearing the races it looks to be coming together at the right time."
