He may be rising 9 years of age however Campobasso is in a rich vein of form and delivered his 9th win from 51 starts at Gawler on the 8th of June.

The son of NZ stallion Roc De Cambes has had a campaign to remember taking 3 wins from his last 5 starts. All 3 wins have seen the gelding race forward and take the lead with 400m to go and running strongly to the line without challenge.

Jason Holder, who is in fine form himself, controlled the race and became the 9th individual jockey to win on Campobasso.

Campobasso is the 11th winner in the 22/23 racing season for Gary & Dean Alexander from 99 runners.
