ANGELIC APPEAL ventured to Morphettville on Friday night for her 3rd career start and the first start of her 3yo campaign.
The filly by Cornerstone Studs SIR PRANCEALOT had shown talent in her first campaign when taking plenty of ground off subsequent metro winners KATIMS CLUB and TRES BELLE when running third at just her second start.
Gary Alexander shared " We were always pleased with this filly as she had shown the stable she had talent in her 2yo season. It was always a case that she would benefit from some additional time to mature. To come out today and show that talent first up was very pleasing for connections."
ANGELIC APPEAL is a full sister to PRANCING QUEEN ( a 3 time Victorian winning mare in 2023 ) and also a 1/2 sister to MISS ISOLATION who won on 3 occasions.
Friday nights winner in front of a large crowd at Morphettville for twilight racing was also the inaugural win for ALEXANDER BROTHERS RACING and countryman CALLAN MURRAY. The team pairing up on just 5 previous occasions in South Australia.

ANGELIC APPEAL won despite being only moderately away, gathering momentum to find the lead and then be applied pressure mid race by THE STALKER.
CALLAN MURRAY asked the filly to quicken entering the straight and she lengthened nicely to win by almost a length under little pressure.
In his post race interview with Racing.com SA Host Terry McAuliffe , Callan Murray spoke about his previous connection with the stable in South Africa and his recent work on the filly.
"I had been doing a lot of work on her and I was pretty confident we could just about win it today."
"Well done to Gary and Dean , it's really nice to ride a winner for people from back home. I'd also like to say a huge thanks to Barend ( Vorster ), he was a big help in getting me into the yard."
